: Roastmaster's Note:
Every roastmaster says that their coffee is the freshest available.
One of the founding principles of this company is that any coffee that we are selling to our customers will be the freshest product available.
We make every effort to ensure that the roasted coffee moves directly to an inert gas environment to reduce any chance of deterioration. We are able to present a product that is superior and retains its integrity and distinction."
-Chris Keesecker, Roastmaster for Latitude 23.5
: How to Rate Coffee:
Acidity: Describes coffee with a pleasant sharpness, snap, and liveliness. While a coffee low in acidity can result in a pleasant-tasting mellow or soft cup of coffee, the complete lack of acidity will leave the coffee tasting flat, or dead.
Aroma: The pleasing smell sensation which comes from freshly brewed coffee; described as ranging from fruity to herby.
Body: The sense of heaviness or richness (texture at the back of the tongue). Body describes the depth of flavour, often in terms such as rough or water. This should be a strong, full, pleasant characteristic.
Flavor: The all-encompassing coffee term and includes the impressions of acidity, aroma, and body. It is also used to convey any specific taste that is present in the coffee, such as nutty, spicy, or musty.
Ever wonder how coffee is decaffeinated?
Most coffees are decaffeinated using chemical solvents such as methylene chloride to extract the caffeine from the bean. Others claim to be all natural, or water based, but this is often misleading.
We have chosen the SWISS WATER® Process for our premium decaffeinated coffees since this process is healthier and better for you while delivering great taste.
The SWISS WATER® Process is a pure water, 100% chemical free method that ensures the best of the bean remains, while only the caffeine is removed.
Today's decaf drinker deserves to share in the whole coffee experience and sense of discovery that stimulates coffee drinkers, but without caffeine.
Be sure to ask for our SWISS WATER Decaf coffee list.
